About Us

Deborah Eastman has been planning events in the Ventura County area for nearly two decades. Deborah received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from boston University in 1988. She followed this with a Meeting Planning Certificate from Boston College in 1989. After interning with several event planning and wedding consulting firms, Betty became passionate about planning weddings. "I saw the stress that brides went through and wanted so badly to help them", stated Betty in a 1992 magazine article about wedding day stress. "I knew I could. I love bringing lifelong dreams to life." Deborah returned to the classroom and completed the Professional Planners Certification program through the ACME Coalition of Bridal Consultants. Deborah is now an accredited Professional Bridal Consultant.

Deborah soon opened Events R Us planning. Although she was qualified to plan any event, she wanted to focus her energy primarily on weddings. She opened her own business, so she would be free of commissions and any other compromising arrangements. She was determined to only serve the interests of her clients. Deborah has since planned hundreds of memorable weddings.
